Once again this year, La Mercè, the city's patron saint and a metaphor for Barcelona itself, stands as a powerful queen who embodies all of Barcelona's beauty and who hides, in this year's lineup, a few references to the city. A city waking up after the pandemic, and a festival that remains strong after 150 years.
